Laura Brown, nine months to the day from giving birth and having only 3-4 skate ski training days completed the Great Ski Race from Tahoe City to Truckee (30km) in just 2 hours 16 minutes. The course was very challenging with fresh snow and high winds adding an estimated 15-20 minutes to past years. Sub-2 hours is considered very strong making her time all the more remarkable.
